When we get dressed in the morning, often we just throw on whatever is closest at hand. There are other times though, even weekday mornings when we pay more attention to what we are putting on. On mornings like this we take time in the shower, we might even choose matching underwear.

Then you choose the pants or skirt, the shirt you just bought and are dying to wear. Then of course you think of the shoes you spent ten minutes polishing last night. Each of these smaller parts contributes to the lovely feeling you have when they are all nicely in place. Then it is time for the final touch – some jewellery to tie the whole outfit together.

Some people, probably not those in professional environments, I much prefer those sticks that glow or thos glow bands that have been made into jewellery. They are a lot of fun, and can add a crazy twist to whatever you might be wearing. (more...)

They say that diamonds are a girl's best friend. This is a saying that has been used in song and in many other places as well, we use it so much that we don't really think about what it means. Why are diamonds are girl's best friend?

Jewellery is the only item that we wear which is purely worn for its aesthetic value; this of course excludes dog tags and medical alert bracelets. Jewellery is used only to adorn ourselves and it is made out of all sorts of materials. You get gemstone engagement rings for sale but you also get jewellery that is made out of saved scrap metal.

The reuse of materials in jewellery has become more popular but it is the basics like gold, platinum silver and diamonds which are really the most sought after kind of jewellery. And this brings us back to our question. (more...)
